PURPOSE OF THE TRUMPETS

  I Co. 10:11 = All these things happened for examples; written for 
                         our  admonition. (Learning)
 
 I Co. 14:7-9= And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or  
                  harp,  except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be
                  known what is piped or harped?  For if the trumpet give an
                  uncertain sound, who hall prepare himself to the battle?  So
                  likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to
                  be understood, how shall it be known what is  spoken? for ye shall
                  speak into the air..
 
 Trumpets in Scripture:
  • Trumpet of God on Mt. Sinai, Moses gathers the people to hear God
  • Joshua at Jericho . . blew the trumpets
  • Put a Trumpet in everyman's hand. (Jud. 7:16)
  • David bring the Ark to Jerusalem (2 Sam. 6:15)
  • The Last Trump shall sound…Dead in Christ shall be raised…..We shall be changed.(ICo.15:52)
  • John the Revelator..A great voice as a Trumpet (Rev.1:10)
 Trumpets =  Trumpets are messages from God.  The Word of God
                           the Prophetic voice.
 Isa. 58:1 = Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and 
                    shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob
                    their sins
 
 THE BLOWING OF THE TRUMPETS (Num. 10:1-10)
 
 vs. 1-2 = And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,Make thee two trumpets of
                 silver; of a  whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest
                 use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of
                 the camps                
 
Silver = Redemption and Restoration
2 Trumpets = Old and New Testament
 
1.        CALLING THE ASSEMBLY AT THE DOOR
            Gathering around the person ( The Lord Jesus )
            Jesus is the Door – No other way to enter
 
2.       THE JOURNEYING OF THE CAMPS
           Where you camp is important
           Camp of Salvation, Water Baptism, Holy Spirit,  Healing, Deliverance,
           Let us go on (Heb. 6)

           Move on in all the truths that God has for you (Follow the cloud)

 vs. 4 = And if they blow but with one trumpet, then the princes, which are
             heads of the  thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee.   
 
 3.       THE LEADERS SHALL GATHER TOGETHER
            Leaders must flow together in: Love one for another.
            The Spirit of God … Unity
            Speak the same thing.
 
vs. 5-7 = When ye blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east parts
                 shall go forward.  When ye blow an alarm the second time, then
                 the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they
                 shall blow an alarm for their journeys.  But when the ongregation
                 is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an
                 alarm.        
 
4.       THE ORDER OF MARCHING
           Order in the body = Different gifts and ministries
           Disciplined Lives
           To go forward
 
vs. 8-9 = And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets;
                and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your
                generations.  And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy
                that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the
                trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the Lord your God,
                and ye shall be saved from your enemies.    
 
5.       TO PREPARE PEOPLE FOR WARFARE
           Getting people ready for Spiritual Warfare
           Have power and authority over the enemy
           Must fight the battle and take dominion
           Put on the Armor of God
 
vs. 10 = Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in
               the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets
               over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace
               offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your
               God: I am the Lord your God.
 
6.       DAY OF GLADNESS AND FEAST DAYS
           The joy of the Lord . . Merry Heart like Medicine
          Times of Worship . . . Worship should be a Joy
 
7.       THE OFFERINGS AND SACRIFICES
          Blessed to give
          Offerings and Tithes . .  Giving of time, talent, finances etc.
          Present you Bodies as a Living Sacrifice.
