Catechism

God is pouring out His Spirit upon hungry people everywhere, in all denominations, from all walks of life, of all ages. Along with the excitement of discovering a fresh relationship with God comes a new hunger for truth, and a desire to experience the doctrines as they are related in the Scriptures.

Catechism is designed to satisfy hunger for knowledge of God by teaching how to experience the doctrines and sacraments which were once only tradition. All basic topics are covered in the material given. They are presented with fresh appeal and simplicity because God has restored life to these truths through the revelation of the Holy Spirit.

Catechism uses the oldest and most rewarding technique of religious instruction. . . a systematic question and answer method. Catechism has proved its value in the field of Christian education because it teaches by provocative questions and by concise, clear and definite answers. It presents Biblical truth in logical organization and progressive steps. It lays out the work of both pupil and teacher within the specific limits of definite assignments. It emphasizes the permanent character of truth and most important of all, it gives the student a firm and intelligent grasp on the Christian faith.

The benefits of the Catechism are many. It develops spiritual understanding, stimulates growth in grace, fortifies against temptation, creates hunger for further searching the scriptures, encourages personal witnessing and strengthens for Christian life and service.
